I Would Describe Myself As

Blonde, blue eyes, weigh 125 lbs. I have a myopathy that has affected my quadriceps. I believe that it was statin-induced and began 10-15 years ago. Neurologist suspects Polymyositis, although it only affects my quadriceps and I have no pain, no loss of energy, and no flare-ups, as is usual with PM. Biopsy results just called it a myopathy. Cannot go up steps and since my quads are dead, my balance is a little off. Sometimes use a cane. Recently walked many hours at the Desert Museum using one of my trekking poles -- they work great.
