Hi. My name is George, and I'll admit this is new to me.. I llike going to live shows/concerts..I LOVE to BBQ (especially pork butt roasts)and usually make my own sauce and mop sauce.My family means the world to me. I'm a first generation American.. I'm big into Genealogy and am proud of my heritage and Nationality. I'm in the process of obtaining dual citizenship; as a Latvian citizen as well as my own American citizenship. I have 3 kids. 30, 26 , 22 and 4 grandson's. I get a kick when my grandson's come over. The (fellas) take me back to the innocent day's of my own "asking questions" childhood. I spend a considerable amount of time doing volunteer work for the JDRF, I'm on the organizing committee for The Annual MS Society walk, do volunteer work at my church, I'm on the organizing committee for my 35 year HS reunion, Needless to say all of this keeps me busy. My maternal grandparents started the very first senior center in Omaha and it's snowballed to where it is today. I guess if I were to sum it all up in a nut shell. I don't ever consider what I so much as doing volunteer work. I was brought up to help others and this is my way of paying it forward. I'm very low maintenance, jeans & T-shirt kind of guy,easygoing, live for the moment, spontaneous, a little introverted and shy until I feel comfortable with someone.

Meeting someone for the first time can/will be a little awkward and I'm sure we would both be nervous. Do we shake hands? give each other a gentle hug?.....Am I saying the right things? How do I look? Am I wearing too much perfume/cologne.? Am I overdressed? Don't fool yourself. It's something we ALL think about....My ideal first date would be to meet in a public place (maybe a very quiet coffee shop or cafe)..get to know a little about each other and hopefully enjoy a laugh or two.. ...If we still click, later on....maybe a nice quiet dinner while we get to know each other a little better...Later if we still feel comfortable with each other....a bottle of wine , some fine cheese and crackers ,fresh fruit while we watch the sun set together...I'll leave you with a question that you've probably never been asked before. Just out of curiosity....Have you ever just sat outside at night on a blanket, pulling blades of grass, listening to the crickets and the cicada's and looked up into the sky at all the stars? Getting lost in your thoughts can be so therapeutic....get away from the hustle and bustle of your normal routine for awhile.

Ich wollte immer schon versuchen

I almost drowned when I was 9 or 10. I've taken lessons about 3-4 times over the years but still have a fear of deep water. I WANT to learn how to swim. I want to go visit family in Latvia and family and friends in Australia.
