I grew up in the Lower Mainland and attended UBC to become a mechanical Engineer. I currently work developing the biggest baddest waterslides in the world. I have one brother who is younger but managed to retire earlier than me. I have two full grown daughters who are independent and live close by. I have a cat, Lucy, who is very sociable towards anyone holding his treat. Yes, "his" treat. Full story later. I suffered a back injury 4 years ago, which left my legs paralyzed. I get around very well in my chair; I hate stairs. BUT, my cup is half full. Some might say it's more than half full. I'm Resilient . I love to go on long walks in nature, road trips, and weekend getaways. I am an avid traveler. I've visited Europe, Africa, Asia, and South America. My bucket list includes snorkeling with Manta rays in Mexico. On sunny weekends, I like to get down to the beach or the riverside parks with my camera. On cold wet days (what, in Vancouver??) I like to catch a movie, play cards, or visit a museum. I'm good with tools and I like to design-build things. I'm looking for someone who enjoys the outdoors, likes snuggling up for a good movie, enjoys intelligent conversation over a great souvlaki, a good wine, or a rich coffee. I want to share my day with you, live our adventures together, comfort each other through difficult times, laugh out loud together. My match is physically affectionate (is that redundant?) My love languages are 'words of affirmation', 'physical touch', and 'quality time'.
