Hi, thanks for visiting! More to come later but I just wanted to get some quick thoughts down.
My friends would probably say that my sense of humor is my most noticable personality trait, I love to make those I care about laugh!
I'm a lifelong North Sider except the 6 years I spent in the Marines. I'm an introvert- probably won't find me at a street festival, party or bar. I can and do go to parties and bars very infrequently for a special occasion. I have a few very close friends and enjoy volunteering, dinners, camping and BBQ's with them.
I'm interested in traditional Japanese Embroidery, cooking, baking, plants, bike riding, canoeing, camping. Stoicism. During the shutdown I taught myself how to make my favorite Chinese takeout dishes.
I work in animal welfare-rescue and I absolutely love my job! "It's the dogs that are the real winners!"
The top traits I value in a woman are loyalty, respect, honesty, open-mindedness, a great sense of humor and last but not least an animal lover.
I recently read an interesting article on "how to have a successful marriage" (or something to that affect). The idea was that each morning the couple talks and describes their plans for the day and how they are feeling as a percentage. both partners have to equal 100% combined. At 50% each, partner wouldn't need help from the other. But if one says I'm at 30% today, the other person would need to step it up a little to make up the difference to equal 100% for the day. I think it's a great way to work as a team but you also can't help but know how your partner is doing every day.
