Defying odds

I Would Describe Myself As

I have survived 2 strokes and have beaten all the odds. My parents were told I would never walk, talk, see, or hear, but I have completed my AA degree. I am working on my bachelor's degree. I love animals (I have dogs, cats, a horse and even a GOAT!). My strokes have left me mildly physically impaired - my right hand does not work well and I have a slight limp. However, I am independent in all activities, including driving. I love listening to music, trying to play guitar, and writing poetry. It is hard for me to open up to people and make friends. Hopefully that will change!
