Good morning, nice to meet you! My friends would tell you that I am articulate, outgoing (definitely an extravert) a good listener, kind, compassionate, caring,empathetic,and respectful.I work in the IT field in my home province with the provincial government.In my free time I like to spend time meeting all types of people. Outside of work I also enjoy doing volunteer work in my community especially any kind of advocacy work which makes this area a better place for others with various disabilities.I am not someone who defines myself by my disability,and I look for the same in my friends.With that said, for those who are curious, my primary disability is that I am visually impaired from birth, my eye condition is retinopathy of prematurity,I also have diabetes, type 2, and I am insulin dependent. I am fortunate that I have always had decent paying permanent jobs over the past 20 years which has afforded me the opportunity to own my own home. I am fearcely independent and I don't let my vision loss stop me from doing anything that I want to try. I live alone with an handsome black labrador retreiver, he is very smart, he goes everywhere with me as I travel with a Seeing Eye dog.
