Me describiría a mi mismo como
The "wondering" in my headline refers to my beginning to wonder about a relationship connection in my future. I do a great deal of volunteer work with people, usually in groups and often very intense heart work, so I am not people aversive. I am more of an introvert and do value my alone time.
I have been widowed for almost 17 years, and my deceased husband remains a very current presence in my life. No, there are no seances involved. That is simply the kind of deep connection we continue to have and will always have.
I continue to work on a very selective basis, and my work also involves working with people who are either struggling or who are at a major crossroad and are seeking insight and nonjudgemental, compassionate guidance. I am honoured to be able to work with people who are courageous enough to do this, often difficult, personal work. This describes the people with whom I work as a volunteer or professionally.
I admire vulnerability in myself and others and seek the kind of openness that nurtures that kind of vulnerability. You are open-hearted and do your best to live as undefended as possible while, at the same time, you recognize that the world is a place in which many others need defending and support. You can become quite fiercely passionate about being there for those in need. This includes people you don't know, as well as those near and dear to you.
You are also comfortable reaching out your own hand to another to seek support if you need it. You have the courage to be vulnerable and real.
You are inclined to be kind to others and value kindness in others. You know how varied the human condition can show up in our world and do your best to show compassion to others as well as to yourself. You know that your life is much more about your perspective and your choices than it is about "them" and what "they" do.

I can think of "enjoying" myself, but I'm not as sure about having "fun". I do enjoy a really good conversation. I do enjoy a good book (mostly audible ones right now). I enjoy nature in all of its moods and forms. I do feel "fun" when I'm FaceTiming with my grandkids, and they are having fun at my expense. It's fun playing at being the "butt" of their jokes.
